By the grace of Allah (swt), our community is continuously growing in numbers, talent and resources. In the United States, there are more than 250 Islamic schools and 2,000 weekend schools in operation. Because of this development, there is a tremendous demand for teachers who can teach religious subjects. Our scholars and teachers of religious studies courses have graduated with depth of knowledge in traditional content from religious programs. Many have learned extensive knowledge but may need to acquire the skills necessary to transfer the knowledge to their students in a manner that is well received by the school, students and parents. To help build a strong and positive lasting relationship between religious scholars and our future generation the academy will provide instruction on how to create objectives, lessons plans, teaching strategies, retention skills, and prepare and administer assessments/evaluations. By disseminating the knowledge that we possess to the next generation, we are securing their transformation into knowledgeable, active, involved American Muslims in society.
